I am Ana Asultanei, and I am the person that out of passion for flowers has created Nostalgic Flowers. As the name suggests, I engage with flowers :)) more specifically I press and dry flowers which then I use to create unique pieces of artworks designed to generate sincere smiles.

The flowers that I traditionally press using a wood press are either from our small garden or from my mother’s and grandpa’s gardens in Romania. All the flowers that I use for my artworks are completely natural and never used any non sustainable methods to preserve or colour them, and this means that over time, the pieces that I create, can fade away or lose their strong colour, but this is only the natural beauty behind working with natural flower and although that happens and nothing can impede this, the emotions generated will always remain.

The pieces of artworks that I create cand range from special vintage frames brought back to life to wedding veils, which I design myself from scratch and attach real pressed flowers on them. The wedding veils that I have created until now are the creations that I’m mostly proud of.

I am very lucky to have my life companion alongside me in this journey. He is part of Nostalgic Flowers equally as me and my ideas united with his ideas has brough this dream to life.
